Head of Human Resources: £55-£60k + Bonus & Benefits

Midlands based; our client is a leading multi-site specialist trade distributor, with over 330 sites across the UK and Ireland. Their strategic objective is to create outstanding shareholder value through organic growth, enterprise and acquisitions in the industrial and domestic, construction and maintenance markets.

They are a successful and growing business; very pragmatic and the HR function is tasked with adding measurable value to the organisation by delivering and developing effective people management services.

With a background in comparative multi-site businesses, you will report directly to the Human Resources Director and manage a highly commercial HR/Training support team; relocation may be available for the right candidate.

The business operates in a very fast moving trading environment and to succeed you must have the intellect, presence and influencing skills to work with other senior members of the organisation. In addition you will have sufficient vision to enable you to make your mark. The key deliverables are: employee relations, learning and development, recruitment/retention, and communications.

You will provide a generalist HR support, but expected to play a key role across the group. Graduate calibre and CIPD qualified, you will set high standards and may even have complementary operations experience. This is a hands-on role and a high degree of visibility is essential, so UK wide travel is to be expected.
