UK Field Sales Manager - £45-£50k + Car, Bonus & Benefits

West Midlands based, our client is a European subsidiary of an independent industrial group focused on the design, production and sale of components, systems and modules for cars and trucks, for both the original equipment market and the aftermarket.

The Group has highly structured processes and ranks among the world's top automotive suppliers and supplies all major vehicle manufacturers. Major customers in the aftermarket include retail groups, privately owned multi-site factors, buying groups and national factoring chains.

Ideally we are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager with a first class understanding of sales disciplines and business processes and a successful track record of managing sales teams. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, your role will be to develop strong relationships with distributors to win business. Candidates do not need experience of the automotive industry; however an understanding of B2B relationships is vital to success.

Managing a team of professional sales people you will:

  • Be a ‘hands on’ and persuasive sales professional, with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Be able to think on their feet, have excellent communication skills, first-class personal organisation, an eye for detail and proven man management skills.
  • Be professionally trained in modern selling methodologies and sales management techniques.
  • Have excellent presentation skills and be able to negotiate at board level.
  • Degree/professional qualification preferred, but not essential; demonstrable commercial and financial acumen together with strong analytical and PC skills are vital.
  • Be ‘centrally based’ to facilitate UK wide travel.
  • Age is not important; although maturity; personality and personal integrity are of primary significance here.
